Restera del Sile
A place that invites you to immerse yourself in silence, the beauty of nature and its biodiversity

What it is and where it is
The Restera is the stretch of the Sile riverbank that connects the former river port of Treviso with that of Casier. It is a path of almost ten kilometers that can be tackled on foot, by bicycle or by boat. Various interventions over the years have given this place a manicured and peaceful beauty that captivates Trevisans and sensitive tourists on Sunday walks and sports activities. But numerous are also, for those who know how to read them, the testimonies of history preserved between the land and the river, while nature manifests in all seasons the wonder of biodiversity.
Curiosities
Treviso architect and illustrator Lorenzo Marcolin has dedicated the book "La Restera del Sile" to this place , made up of words but above all of drawings, traced with the sensitivity of the cartoonist and the delicacy of someone who is portraying a beloved subject. It is a book that tells a place and a story, but it can also become a guide for those who love slow tourism: with their moving grace, these drawings bear witness to a gem that enriches our country's heritage of beauty.
