P.A.F.F.! - The Comic Book Palace
An unstoppable creative hotbed that brings young and old alike closer to art, film, and design thanks to the comic books we all, at one time or another, have loved
Where is
What it is and where it is
PAFF!, an acronym for Palazzo Arte Fumetto Friuli, is a cultural container of international scope housed in the splendid 19th-century setting of Villa Galvani. A space open transversally to all graphic and creative arts in general, from design to cinema. At the same time it constitutes an artistic, cultural but also educational and professional hub that dialogues with schools, universities, and the business world.
Why it is special
Housed in the Armando Pizzinato Municipal Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, within the "Galvani" public park, the Paff! is an eclectic project and structure that presents itself as a way of reinventing and regenerating the museum space that hosts it, an opportunity to give life to a "non-museum" in which experiential exhibitions and displays are able to involve all audiences.
Don't miss
The countless temporary exhibitions, workshops, courses, events, educational and recreational activities that are offered to its diverse audience throughout the year and will be able to amply satisfy all kinds of interests and expectations!
A bit of history
Father of Paff! is Giulio De Vita, a world-renowned Pordenone comic book artist (drawer of, among others, Tex and several Marvel covers), who, supported and flanked by a pool of professionals in different disciplines (from event promotion to photography), has given birth to this articulate project, whose purpose is to use comics as a cultural "passe partourt" aimed at an audience ranging from 0 to 99 years old.
