A slow journey through the Milanese countryside
Where is
A younger brother of Milan's most famous canals, the Grande and Pavese, the Naviglio di Bereguardo follows the course of the Ticino River from Abbiategrasso to Pavia. It has an ancient history that lives on in the beautiful rural landscape it passes through: rice paddies, historic farmsteads, small villages.
It is an easy and flat route on a paved road to be discovered preferably by bike. Along the way we recommend a stop in Morimondo to visit the Cistercian Abbey and in Fallavecchia, a rural village of Lombard origin where time seems to stand still.
