What it is and where it is
The Hort Labyrinth is located in Senigallia, on the border between Emilia Romagna and Marche, and is considered the largest labyrinth in Central Italy. With its 5-kilometer route, the Hort Labyrinth offers an original experience suitable for both adults and children. Surrounded by greenery, just a few meters from the sea, this attraction is the ideal place to spend a few hours with friends or family full of fun and lightheartedness.
Why it is special
Its special feature? It is a corn maze with almost zero environmental impact, where plants act as dividing barriers in a path that winds through about five hectares of land. Every year the theme dedicated to the maze is renewed, and with it its conformation, to always give new and exciting adventures!
Not to be missed
Keep an eye on the calendar! Special thematic events are organized during the summer, including nighttime events that are worth attending. From cute fairy tale creatures to scary minotaurs, the labyrinth comes alive with fantastic characters, creating atmospheres and environments to suit everyone's needs!
A bit of history
The success of this project is due to the collaboration of the young people of the Hort cooperative, who over the years have used different materials to create the paths, later specializing in designing corn mazes. The inauguration was in 2012 with the reproduction of the plan of the Basilica of Loreto, an occasion on which there have already been a great number of visitors.
Trivia
In 2019, the theme chosen for the labyrinth was photography. A decision aimed at paying tribute to Senigallia, City of Photography, and its authors. Today it is a popular destination for lovers of the lens.
