Where is
Fontana Serra, a path of memory
Fontana Serra is the name of a place along the course of the Ferrera River that can be reached on foot from the center of Amaroni by walking along a road that winds toward the mountain. It is a place cherished by residents for its serene beauty.
Water, in its most persuasive forms.
The term fountain generally indicates a spring but in this circumstance it rather refers to a place where water is the absolute protagonist. The river flows forming water laps and waterfalls around the stones of the valley floor. Small streams flow down from surrounding springs. Dense tree cover makes the place especially picturesque.
When feeling yields to languor
A path punctuated by small bridges and a picnic area make Fontana Serra an ideal destination for an outing. A dirt road then allows you to walk or mountain bike to the nearby center of Vallefiorita to the locality of Schiavi. Along the way, the remains of ancient water mills are visible .
Last surprise, two natural pools
Following the river on its descent you reach two large pools called the first Mortariadhu with a waterfall of about 5 meters and the second Segracia with a water jump of about 4 meters.
