is the heart of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park. Through exhibits and displays it helps people see the park from a different perspective as well as discover its hidden and curious sides.
Why it's special: extraordinary perspectives and insights into the park
Inside the center you will find audio-visual impressions that convey a picture of life in the park. Beautiful is the film that presents the park with an "eagle's eye" perspective. If, on the other hand, you want to plan your hikes in the park area, a three-dimensional model presents information on peaks, refuges, and routes.
Not to be missed: the Wonders of Nature.
As wonderful as it is, the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park is not alone: like all other parks, it is part of a natural system that is as delicate as it is vast. To better understand this reality, a section of the visitor center is devoted to orography, dealing with an extension from Central Europe to the Arctic and informing on fauna, flora, geology and minerals. This is complemented by a DVD "The treasure chest of biodiversity" and various multivisions that take us into the world of nature parks. To top it all off, extraordinary exhibitions enrich the offerings.
