What is it and where is the Casere Visitor Center

At the farend of the Ahrntal Valley, not far from the public parking lot in Casere, is a new information facility of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park designed for those who want to make the most of their visitor experience. On the outside, it looks like a beautiful wooden building, minimalist, clean and perfectly integrated into the landscape.

Why it's special: what's inside the visitor center

The exhibition created on the ground floor allows visitors to get in touch with the artistic crafts and agriculture characteristic of the Upper Aurina Valley. To help better understand the area, a three-dimensional model accurately depicts the valley, which can also be admired live thanks to the wonderful overview of the valley floor. But South Tyrol's treasures are many indeed: to help visitors make sure they don't miss anything, a space in this section of the visitor center is devoted to presenting the region's other nature parks.

Not to be missed: films to immerse yourself in alpine life

In the basement, the atmosphere becomes more intimate and atmospheric. An interactive experience presents life in the Alpine valley. Here it is possible to see the film "Living in Predoi," which collects some testimonies of the inhabitants of the village. In the screening room, short films about the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park and the short film "Panorama Predoi" give spectacular images of the park's landscapes, from the highest peaks to the valley floor. A final gift for visitors is the in-depth look at the four trails beyond the borders, which are the best way to get closer to the many natural wonders and history of this incredible area.
