Festival of San Bello

The Sagra di San Bello, named in honor of San Benigno Dè' Medici, for the inhabitants San Bello, takes place in the two hamlets of Monastero and Maroggia. On weekends in February, rich food and wine stands host visitors with typical Valtellina menus, but the undisputed protagonist is the Gallina Bollita, prepared respecting ancient recipes and served with side dishes that enhance its goodness.Throughout the duration of the festival, musical and folklore events are held.Suggestive is the Procession, which is done in traditional costume, and carries the relics of the saint through the streets of the village.
