In a nutshell
Tradition has it that the Chaplet shape of Delia's typical sweet is a tribute to the castellan ladies who resided in the castle above the town. The Cuddrireddra is made with simple and genuine ingredients: durum wheat flour, fresh eggs, sugar, lard, cinnamon, red wine, and orange peel; it is skilfully worked into the shape of a chaplet and then cooked in plenty of extra virgin olive oil.
Over the two days of the festival, food stands will be set up where you can enjoy many local products as well as the famous Cuddrireddra, and there will be Medieval Costume Parades, FolKlore performances, live music and entertainment. What more can we say...let's go!
