In a nutshell
In the historic center of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, in the province of Avellino, the long-awaited "La Sagra delle Sagre" will be held, an event that for years has presented excellent gastronomy, handicrafts and local cultural traditions of Irpinia. In fact, there will be no shortage at the "Sagra delle Sagre" of good and well-known Irpinian dairy products including pecorino and Carmasciano cheeses, caciocavalli podolici, and then hams he sausages typical of the area along with many other local specialties such as honey, cookies, taralli and bread baked in a wood-fired oven, chestnuts, truffles, mushrooms, and oil.
Lots of space also for good Irpinian wines with the best wineries and companies and their good products, known for their authenticity, originality and goodness. Completing the attractions of the festival are also taste workshops, conferences and debates and then exhibitions of local artisans and artists and then visits to local historical sites such as the Cathedral with the ancient Crypt, the Old Town, the Longobard Castle and the very ancient Goleto Abbey.
