The Gorgonzola Festival

Every year, on the first weekend of December, the municipality of Melegnano organizes a tasty event in which Gorgonzola is the absolute protagonist. The event is entirely dedicated to the tasty cheese - a symbol and product of excellence of the area - offering it in numerous recipes from first courses to main courses inside a large tent set up for the occasion. During the event, another symbolic dish of the gastronomic tradition of Northern Italy is also served, polenta, prepared in huge copper pots and served precisely in combination with gorgonzola, according to one of the most classic recipes in the area. There is no shortage of musical entertainment, thanks in part to the creation of a large dance floor.
