The Octave of Easter and the Fire Horse
In Ripatransone between Religiosity and Fireworks.
In a nutshell
It was in the year 1682 when to "crown" the statue of Our Lady of St. John, an expert fireworker at the end of the work improvised on the back of his horse, a short fireworks display that thrilled the inhabitants. More than three centuries have passed and this singular event, albeit with some changes in presentation, has become the symbol of Ripatransone.
A wooden horse is harnessed with lots of colorful fireworks and coming out of the Fire Horse Museum it rides through the streets of the town to the square, along the way the crowd and supporters cheer and incite with chants. During the event there will be the town band, game shows and many other parallel events, in closing the crackling carousel of the Fire Horse.
