An atmospheric nativity scene in Laveno-Mombello
In a nutshell
Every year from the first days of December until Epiphany-when the event concludes with the traditional Epiphany bonfire-in the town of Laveno-Mombello it is possible to admire a splendid nativity scene submerged in the waters of Lake Maggiore.
The nativity scene consists of about 42 life-size statues made of white Vicenza stone, which are placed on five platforms.
