In a nutshell
In late June, Bevagna's four contrade, the Gaite, compete in four contests of Market, Craft, Gastronomy and Archery. Only at the end of the palio will the name of the winning Gaite be known. In the meantime, in addition to the competitions, one can have fun by visiting the markets that each Gaita sets up, frequenting taverns and inns and immersing oneself in the medieval atmosphere recreated each year in the village. A not-to-be-missed event for lovers of the Middle Ages!
