Feast of Saint Greca

The Feast of Santa Greca, in Sardinian Sant'Arega, reaches its 459th edition this year. It is one of the most heartfelt and celebrated Religious Feasts in southern Sardinia and attracts many people from all over the island, who out of dedication and secular vocation pay homage to the Saint with processions, prayers, vigils and Holy Masses. The square in front of the shrine will be the centerpiece of the event and rituals, while the main streets will see the procession with the simulacrum of the Saint accompanied by songs and prayers. There will also be the "secular" part, with stalls of typical products and local crafts, food trucks, fun fairs, plays in the Sardinian language, live concerts and in closing the colorful fireworks display.
