Important holiday for the inhabitants of the island of Ventotene in honor of its patron saint, St. Candida
In a nutshell
On September 19 and 20, the island of Ventotene celebrates St. Candida, patron saint of the town. On the 19th the traditional, colorful and much-followed paper balloon competition is turned with various schools on the island competing with their achievements of different shapes, decorations and sizes.
