Underwater Christmas

The Place is the renowned "Golfo dei Poeti," and the event could not be more poetic. On the night of December 24 from the waters below the village of Tellaro, in the municipality of Lerici ,a group of divers will bring out the statue of the Baby Jesus, donated by Pope John II and all around, the cliff and the village are illuminated by thousands of candles to welcome the birth of the Redeemer. The statue of the Infant Jesus is then carried in procession to the Stella del Mar Church, where the Christmas Mass will be celebrated. A unique and spectacular event, which finds in the fireworks display over the sea, the pinnacle of suggestion and magic.
