40th Chestnut Festival

Perhaps not everyone knows that the only Astronomical Observatory in Calabria is located right in Savelli in the province of Crotone and is a center of dissemination and research. In this place far from the chaos and surrounded by nature, the Chestnut Festival is held, which offers a rich program of events every year, where the protagonists are the autumn fruit and the Astronomical Observatory. Food stands and roast chestnut stations, Historical Reenactment, Band Ensemble, Children's Shows, Folkloric Groups, Sweets Contests, Drawing Contests and much more for all-around entertainment, not forgetting the Astronomical Observatory with guided tours and observations of the cosmos.
